Work it Out Wednesday

Happy Hump Day FitNerdz!  Last week I signed up for a Tough Mudder race in November and gave y’all a boot camp to help prepare you for a Tough Mudder or just work up some sweat.  It really busted my butt I hope y’all enjoyed it too!  This week I wanted to keep up with that trend and did some research on some of the obstacles and how they would test my fitness.  I found that my upper body is going to be screaming at me by the third obstacle if I don’t start working on it soon!  In light of this new development I created an upper body blaster!

This work out is set up in a Tabata format, which means 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest for a total of 4 minutes for each round.  Each set of work is meant to be all out though, so don’t save anything for the end this is meant to push your limits.

If pull ups are a challenge for you try flexed arm hangs instead and hold as long as you can or in 5 second increments.

Work it out Tough Mudder Boot Camp

Uh Oh, guess what day it is, guess what day it is! Its Hump Day, WHOOP WHOOP!!

Happy Hump Day Nerdz!  This week I decided to jump in feet first to ice cold water (on purpose) and signed up for the Tough Mudder in Charlotte, NC for the first weekend in November!  It is a 10-12 mile obstacle course designed by British Special Forces to test all around fitness and team work abilities.  I have never run that far or done an obstacle course but there’s no time like the present to start training for new goals!

In light of my new endeavor this weeks Work it Out Wednesday is a Boot Camp to help me and others get ready for the Tough Mudder or any other challenges/goals you may be facing.

Work it OUT WEDNESDAY

Your Workout your choice just move! Grab your self a Bike and get to peddling, Jump on a rower and row, row, row away! If you have room sprint, run, jog or walk just keep the body moving. If you don’t have much room snag your jump rope,  don’t have a jump rope, just do some fancy jumping jacks !

Right after your intervals are done get your abercise on!

Here we are at another Wednesday Fitnerdz and ready to roll in that weekend!

But before we can relax by the pool we need to sweat out a great workout, so this week we’ve put together a real glute buster for you all!

With each round try to keep the same pace and complete as many rounds as possible with minimal rest within 15 minutes.  As always remember to properly warm up and cool down and stay hydrated!!
